There are a multitude of colourful shops selling traditional handicrafts and souvenirs, as well as a great selection of tavernas, bars and local shops. There is also a bank, doctor's surgery and schools and the village is well served by public transport, with a regular bus service to and from Aghios Nikolaos. The nearest beach is within 10kms.
